My LitReactor Interview with Gabriel Hart

on the occasion of my poetry book’s publication

It is all vanity, sure. But I’m proud of writing this book and having this interview done. It might get lost under an avalanche of other tweets and posts and social media flotsam but I’m going to put the link to the interview here in this substack newsletter for people who didn’t see it. Redundancy. Making sure the paint gets into all the cracks. It’s a curse to be this invested in promoting one’s self but I’m sorry, I’m going to do it. I accomplished something that had some difficulty—writing a pair of books—and I’m just going to tell you about it. I don’t get interviewed every day.

My answers are on the long side but I felt like this is what I had to say in the clearest way I could. I’ve been watching the pot for years and years and I look away and it starts boiling finally, even if it’s just a modest simmer.
