Crime writer Lawrence Block has a newsletter, if you subscribe to it, where he just gives you updates and news about all the writing of his that is coming out. Itās a little obnoxious but what are you going to do. Iād love to have a career like Lawrence Blockās. So hereās a bunch of news for my subscribers.
Hereās the link to my piece of fiction published today at Expat, āTemptation of the Church Janitor.ā It goes with my painting above, which I sold recently.

This is a chapter of the novel Iām trying to write called tentatively I See Prism Threads and which features work Iāve published at donāt submit, Bruiser, The Militant Grammarian, Pere Ube, and elsewhere (I think). You will recognize the characters and storyline from these pages if youāve been reading a while.

News: I have been told by the editor of Cowboy Jamboree that a feature (their words) about my novel The Tattletales is coming out soon. I asked him if it was going to be favorable and he said it was. I maybe shouldnāt have asked him that but, I did.
I got the library job in that city where much of Blood Trip takes place (I wonāt name it here, I donāt want to broadcast it) so Iām hoping Iāll have some more inspiration to write about that place and come up with other crime tales. I have a murder mystery called Easy, Killer which is partially set in that city of Oylesburg that I would love to find a publisher for once itās revised and edited. Iām trying to think of the next book.
